SET game

Set is a logic game that kids of any age can enjoy. Instead of a deck of special cards, try playing the game online. The company posts a new group of cards every day. After you find six sets, the site gives you the elapsed time so you can try to beat your own time each time you play. This can be a great activity for a capable puzzle solver to try with a peer. One student might find sets involving cards with similar colors, shapes, or textures more easily than mixed up colors or shapes. If this student works with a peer who likes finding mixed up cards, the pair will need less time to find all the sets.

This site is a kid version of the game of Sudoku. Students are in charge of the level of difficulty changing the puzzle from a 4x4 grid up to a 9x9 grid as they become more confident solving the puzzles. They might also choose to solve the puzzles with a peer which may improve social skills. Consider this option for a very capable student who completes work quickly (and correctly), and has just a few minutes until the next activity. A timer on the site might encourage a student to beat a previous time. It also might discourage a student who has difficulty with timed activities. The timer and the sound effects are options the student chooses.
