Did you know that as a parent of a Byrom student you are also a part of the PSO - the Parent School Organization?
The PSO is a non-profit organization that operates out of the school. We are a group of parents and all volunteers that work with the school and the district to help provide all of our students with the tools they need to succeed each year.
Our group does fund raising events, such as the Jog-A-Thon, to raise money to help pay for items such as field trips, playground improvements, and other curriculum based needs so that each student in our school has the opportunity to maximize their experience at Byrom.
When my oldest son started at Byrom I decided to attend a meeting and found that it was an excellent way to stay up on what was happening at the school, where we needed help and it kept me in touch with what my son was doing all year; I was hooked and have been involved ever since – that was 5 years ago.
I would like to invite everyone to attend a meeting to see who we are and what we do. It takes the support of the entire Byrom community to ensure our kids get the most out of their time here. Please join us! General meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month and start at 7:00 p.m. in the library.
