Ambassador Program
What is the Ambassador Program?
Mission Statement: To provide a leadership training and service program for fourth and fifth grade students who meet eligibility standards for the program.
The objectives of the Ambassador’s Program are:
- To provide an educational experience (speaking, marketing, collecting funds & visiting community service sites) for those who serve as an Ambassador
- To assist students of CFT in being safe throughout the building and school grounds—conflict resolution
- To foster positive school spirit by serving as helpers to students and staff
- To work cooperatively with teachers and staff to encourage respectful behavior
Training will be provided for students selected as an Ambassador, which will emphasize the following:
- Developing habits of safety
- Regular and punctual attendance for duties
- Becoming a positive school leader (appropriate school attire, being courteous, etc. see list below)
- Service to school and community
- Conflict resolution skills
· Individual responsibility for their own behavior and safety of others
Responsibilities:
- Timely completion of homework and class projects
- Report to your assigned station on time or ahead of time and sign in, find a substitute if you cannot perform your duties
- Assist teachers in greeting students in the morning
- Help to host school events
- Welcome new students
- Attend training meetings
· Attend monthly Ambassador working lunches
- Assist students in citizenship throughout the school
- Actively participate in community service projects & fund raising activities
