A message from our Principal, Mrs. Hennelly…….

Welcome back to school!  We have had an amazing start to the new school year.  It is so great to have the building full of children; the energy and excitement they bring to C.F. Tigard is priceless!

            I have been enjoying my first few weeks of school.  I appreciate all of the kind words, the welcomes, and the support that all of you have been showering upon me.  Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

            I am very impressed with the level of instruction and learning that is taking place in our classrooms.  Teachers and students have jumped right in and are making great academic progress already this year.  The students have been reminded about being safe, responsible, and respectful and they are truly helping to make our school environment an inviting place to be.

            Please mark your calendars for September 22 when we will be holding our annual Back To School Night on that evening.  More information will be coming home next week.  We will be showing a slide show of our first week back to school, and it will be fun to see the many faces of C.F.T.

            We are still looking for library and recess volunteers.  If you have a couple of hours to help out, we would really appreciate it. 

            I want to thank all of the families that turned out for the Ice Cream Social and give a special shout out to the PSO (parent support organization) for hosting such an important event to kick off the school year.  It was a great evening…perfect weather, perfect refreshments, and a perfect opportunity for our community to come together.
