About Us
Fowler Middle School strives to provide programs for students that are consistent with recognized middle school philosophy and practices. Sixth grade teaming, the Matrix program, integrated instruction, peer tutoring and opportunities to explore activities that promote good citizenship and teamwork are just some of those essential components.
At Fowler the required curriculum includes: language arts, social studies, math, science, reading, physical education and health. Elective and exploratory programs offered to students at all three grade levels include: Spanish, French, Art, Drama, Band, Choir, Orchestra, Computers, and Technology.
After school activities provide interest clubs, intramurals and performance opportunities for all students. Students also participate in a variety of leadership and service learning activities. Fowler's Student Council is active and meets weekly with representatives from each of the Matrix classes.
Teachers, administrators, students, and parents share in decision-making and Fowler's Site Council is actively involved in school improvement efforts. The PSO (Parent Support Organization) is an integral part of the school's success as parents regularly volunteer, assist with special projects and provide additional resources through yearly fundraising activities.
Expectations for student behavior are taught and consistently enforced.
