A Little About Me

Hello!  My name is Marit Baker and I am a fifth grade teacher at Metzger Elementary.  This is my sixth year at Metzger and my eighth year teaching.  I believe that all students can succeed if they work hard and do their best.  It is my job to get them to that point.  In the last few years, I have received my masters degree from Lewis and Clark College in addition to teaching endorsements in ESOL Bilingual and Reading. I continue to take classes to help me grow as a professional and I am excited to use what I have learned to help my students succeed.  

At school, I am the Green School Coordinator and I am in charge of recycling for the building encouraging the staff and students at Metzger to practice sustainability.  Any ideas or suggestions to make Metzger and our community more "green," are welcome with open arms!
