Welcome to Templeton
Templeton Elementary School prides itself as an educational learning
community that embodies team work, dedication, caring, experience, and
focus as the foundation for everything we do in working to educate
every child who walks through our doors. Our grade level teams of teachers and specialists collaborate and
plan together to build consistency and focused instruction at the
students’ own rate and level. Flexible skill grouping at each grade
level in reading and at grades three through five in math, allow for
students’ needs to be met in small group, homogeneous settings. Templeton’s staff is among the leaders in the metro area in the
percentage of teachers having a higher level degree. The knowledge
base and experience the staff has, gives Templeton an edge in the kinds
of strategies and techniques used to educate the many different
learners on campus. Templeton’s focus on student achievement is second
to none. The Templeton staff built, and embraced a very aggressive school
improvement plan that will lead our learning community into the next
three to five years with multiple efforts around staff development,
data teams, continued curriculum alignment and mapping, action research
around best practice, and a continued focus on individual student
achievement.
