Caring Closet
The Caring Closet Needs YOU to Volunteer
The Tigard-Tualatin Caring Closet is a very special non-profit organization improving life for children right here in our school district every day. The Caring Closet helps disadvantaged families in our school district by providing clothes, shoes, school supplies, hygiene items, and emergency bedding.
If you have been considering new ways to volunteer your time and make a difference in our community, please consider joining the Caring Closet team. How you can help depends on your skills, interests and available time. Some of our volunteer opportunities include:
- Assisting families "shopping" at the closet
- Washing used clothing before it's made available for students
- Contacting businesses for donations of clothing or cash
- Sorting clothing and stocking shelves
- Acting as a liaison to a school or business
- Computer and bookwork
- Construction and building maintenance
We invite you to stop by for a visit and see how our wonderful volunteers are making a difference in our community. We think once you tour our facility, that you will fall in love with the Caring Closet.
