Welcome to the Tigard-Tualatin Family Resource Center.
Together, we build on individual and community strengths to assist families in becoming more self-sufficient and to increase successful family relationships to the school district and community.
“The Family Resource Center is viewed as a model for assuring families feel comfortable seeking the kinds of information, resources and support services that all citizens need at various times. It provides service by acting as a connection point for families seeking information, referrals, and on-site social services. It supports families that struggle everyday to provide for basic needs such as food, clothing, dental, medical and mental health needs.”

What’s New
Nutrition Classes in Spanish at Colossae Church:
The resource center is coordinating a free nutrition and cooking class in Spanish in collaboration with the OSU Extension Service. Click here for the flyer in Spanish.

"Strengthening Families"/"Fortaleciendo a las Familias" Parenting Classes at Twality Middle School:
What: A FREE parenting workshop series for Tigard-Tualatin School District parents and youth ages 10-14. For a flyer in English, click here. For a flyer in Spanish, click here.
When: Thursdays, 6-8:30pm, from Feb. 2-March 22, 2012

Healthy Kids:
The Center now has staff members who have been trained to help families fill out applications for health insurance under Oregon’s expanded Healthy Kids Program. Two Healthy Kids Outreach Workers are available to visit homes of families in the Tigard-Tualatin School District (as well as Sherwood) on convenient days and times to assist families with uninsured children in filling out an application for health insurance.
