Welcome ~ Bienvenido ~ To Tualatin Elementary

From the Principal's Office

Hello parents,

It has been so great to see all of our students, staff and families again. It is so nice to be back at school. I would like to thank Erin Lolich for all of her hard work while I was gone. She kept our school in good hands and she will be missed.

Thank you to all who attended our evening with Superintendent Saxton to talk about our district equity work. I hope that it was an informative evening for everyone.

THANK YOU to everyone who helped our Tualatin Elementary sustainable garden become a reality. The teachers, parents and community members on our committee have put so much time and energy into this project. We had a successful work party last weekend to build the flower and vegetable beds. We will have two more work parties on March 13th and 27th, so please join us! We would like to thank Pat Willis from OSU, Paul Taylor our garden designer, Troy Javernick of 3js landscape, Al’s garden center, the Aloha Garden club, Evie and George Andrews and Tualatin Starbucks for their generous donations of time and garden material.

DON’T MISS IT!! Our Tualatin Elementary auction night is Saturday, March 6th. Join us for a night of “Mardi Paw Magic”. Our PTA has worked hard to plan a fun filled night beginning at 5:30 p.m., at the James M. Goodrich Conference Center in Lake Oswego. I look forward to seeing you there.

SPRING CONFERENCES -- We will have one day of parent conferences this year. Spring parent conferences will be held on Friday, March 12th. Your child’s homeroom teacher may contact you to schedule a time between 7:50 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The classroom teachers and specialists will have 2:00-3:50 p.m. open for phone calls or drop in visits. Please understand you might have to wait during that open time. Because we are limited to one day, teachers will not be able to meet with all parents. Please know you may contact teachers at anytime during the school year.

Thanks and feel free to call with questions or set up some time to come in and see me.
