ART LITERACY - Tualatin Elementary

Rosa Bonheur 

In October we will present Bonheur, a painter and sculptor of animals. 

*October 6th Presenter’s Meeting

Andy Warhol

In November/December we will present Warhol who burst upon the public scene in the early 60’s with an endless array of Campbell soup cans, and 3-dimensional Brillo soap boxes.  His fascination with mass advertising and a media saturated culture was the inspiration for his art. 

*November 3rd Presenter’s Meeting

John James Audubon 

In January we will introduce students to Audubon who is one of the most famous painter of birds in the world. 

*January 5th Presenter’s Meeting

Salvador Dali

In February and March we will present Dali who is famous for painting familiar objects in bizarre and unusual ways based on his dreams or immediate thoughts.

*February 2nd Presenter’s Meeting

NW Coastal Indians

In April we will introduce the art of the NW Coastal Indians.
