IB Physics II
This is a continuation of IB Physics I. We will cover Electricity and Magnetism, Atomic and Nuclear Physics, Astrophysics, and Einsteinian relativity. Students will be required to complete a scientific research project, and do some kind of teaching as a part of the course. You will also help out at Oaks Park at the end of the year.
This is a fast-paced course that is the second of a two-year IB Physics sequence preparatory to the higher or standard level IB physics examination, and the AP B test in physics (with some outside preparation)
There is an emphasis on problem solving, numerical manipulation, and laboratory skills. Non-IB students are welcome, but they must be willing to keep pace with the IB syllabus. There is a required field trip near the end of the year to Oaks Amusement Park.
